Tackling the Declining Birth Rate in Jamaica

Minister of Health, Dr. Chistopher Tufton expressed his concern over the decline in Jamaica’s birth rate. He lamented that if this decline continues it could have serious implications on the development of the country. However, despite Minister Tufton’s concern how do we encourage people to have children if they cannot afford them or are simply not ready to do so?
