Relationship Attachment Styles

Our Womans World discussion focused on relationship attachment styles and how exactly they can affect ones’ romantic relationship. Our guests were Debora Delapenha-Simmonds, a counseling and consulting psychologist, and Natassia Wright, a leadership practitioner and the Co-founder of Mind Food International.

The different styles of attachment will affect the progress of your relationship. Some say that these types of attachment were developed from childhood through various interactions with our parents or guardians. If the attachment pattern is healthy then a person is said to be confident and can easily interact with others. However, if there is an insecure and anxious attachment pattern, then the relationship usually does not progress to a united goal.
