Triple Jumper Receives Prime Minister’s Special Award

Jaydon Hibbert is a past student of the Kingston College (KC) High school and a Youth Ambassador in Sports, and a mentor to younger jumpers at the Kingston College track team. In June 2022, he won the Senior Triple Jump title at the Jamaican National Championships in Kingston. Prior to this, in the spring of 2022, Hibbert won both the Long Jump and the Triple Jump at the 2022 CARIFTA Games. He broke the championship record with his first jump at the 2022 IAAF World Junior Championships in Cali, Colombia. He was recently awarded the first issued Prime Minister’s Special Award at the recent National Youth Awards. He joined us on Sunrise to share his story.
