Tamo J ‘Level Up’

Dancehall artiste Tamo J was recently admitted to the St. Andrew Memorial hospital in Kingston with severe joint pains and headaches after his sickle cell condition was aggravated. He recalls his experience stating that he had to visit the hospital at 3 a.m on Wednesday where he was treated and released several hours later. Several of his colleagues also dropped by the hospital to check on him. Tamo J theorized that it was his constant promotion of his new single ‘Level Up’ that could have aggravated his sickle cell condition.

The artiste said that incident serves as a reminder that focusing on his health is equally important has his career, particularly because he has the sickle cell trait which is triggered due to lack of sleep and rest. Despite his health challenges Tamo J is pleased with the promotion results of his latest single.

Recording Artiste, Tamo J is promoting his new single ‘Level Up’ and shares more about his recent ordeal in promoting his single which triggered his sickle cell resulting in hospitalization on Sunrise. Watch the interview here:

We have gone to a few out-of-town gigs, on Sunday we visited an event in May Pen then came straight to Boom Sundays,” Tamo J said. The single produced by Boom Rich Productions, in association with Gennastorm Productions (his management team) was released with visuals three weeks ago and has amassed 134,000 views on Youtube so far. Tamo J has ramped up his presence locally.
