Realism Paintings with Artist Hoween Griffiths

Born in St. James, Jamaica, in 1987, Hoween Griffiths grew up at the SOS Childrens’ Village, Barrett Town, St. James. He is studying at the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts (EMCVPA). His area of study is Bachelor of Fine Arts Painting. Griffiths has an unflinching passion for realism painting. Also, he has recently developed an interest in ceramics and jewelry making.

As a youngster growing up, he was a talented individual who enjoyed drawing and painting. Griffiths never stop fueling his passion as a creative. As part of his creative journey, he contributed numerous pieces of his paintings to the Rose Hall Holiday Charity Ball, as a charitable contribution to the SOS Children’s Village, Barrett Town (SOSCVBT). Griffiths is employed as an electrician at the Rose Hall Developments Ltd. As a self-taught artist, he was awarded a full-time scholarship to study visual arts at the EMCVPA by his employer. Griffiths was excited to take up the mantle and proceeded along with his artistic yearnings. Griffiths was also a ward of the state (SOSCVBT).
