Impact and Challenges of being Open-Minded vs Closed-Minded

Have you ever wondered why some people seem to make constant progress in their professional and personal lives, while others simply make a huge mess of theirs? While there is no unequivocal answer, one can argue that it all comes down to mindset. Each individual approaches obstacles and challenges very differently. For instance, successful people tend to approach life with an open mindset which is demonstrated through their eagerness to learn and willingness to be wrong. While others dig their heels in at the first sign of a challenge or conflict and would rather die than be wrong. These individuals can be classified as closed-minded. Before you slap on an open-minded sticker on your chest, here is something to consider: closed-minded people would never consider that they could actually be closed-minded. In fact, their perceived open-mindedness is what is so dangerous.

Director of Buildaman Foundation Global, Nicholas Robertson, and the President, Consumers Intervention of Jamaica (CIJ), Michael Diamond shares their perspective on the impact and challenges of having an open-minded versus closed-minded mindset. Watch the full discussion here:
