Jamaican in England, Councillor Donna Rowena Marie Lumsden is just a regular country girl from St Mary who was recently elevated to mayor of the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham for 2023 – 2024. She has fostered and helped lots of different children over the years and lives at home caring for her three foster sons who have special educational needs (SEN). Fostering and helping those with disabilities is her passion and she hopes to raise awareness for all those affected during her Mayoral year. She joined us on Sunrise to share more about her work.
