Karma Knives was started in the spring of 2017 by Jabulani Johnson in Barnstable Massachusetts. His passion for making kitchen cutlery was conceived from his love of food infused with his engineering background. Jabulani cooked in American restaurants for years without any formal training before he returned home to Jamaica to officially set up shop.
Karma Knives makes artisan kitchen knives and other tools designed for everyday use. He employs as many recycled, personal, handmade, and local materials as possible without sacrificing the durability and functionality of the tool. The name “karma” was chosen because it is a known fact that if you take care of your knife, the knife will perform better for you; “what goes around, comes around”. Karma Knives is a brand which believes in supporting local talent, fairness and giving back to the community on a whole.
