Week two of the phased reopening of face-to-face learning at the Mona High School in St. Andrew was off to a smooth start, on Monday, January 11.

Principal Kevin Jones told CVM LIVE that of the 1- thousand plus students, half of the parents opted for their children to resume face to face classes and online learning.

Jones says he was surprised by the majority of parents who were in favor of the face to face learning. He explains that upper grades will attend for the full week while lower grades will be in the rotation.

And regarding challenges for students, he says 98 percent have had a smooth transition to virtual learning. He also says teachers have been fully equipped in using online platforms.
