Sanmerna Foundation Limited (SFL) partnered with the Kay Morris Foundation (KMF) Limited based in Canada to graciously hand over US$20,000 medical supplies and equipment to the Kingston Public Hospital, as the nation grapples with the COVID-19 pandemic. The donation took place on Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at the facility.

Directors Mark and Robert White along with Chairman Viris Clarke-Ellis of the Sanmera Foundation Limited partnered with the KMF on the special Beds For Jamaica Initiative (BFJA) designed to assist hospitals in Jamaica that is experiencing severe beds shortage and are in need of medical supplies and equipment.

The medical supplies donated include 9beds, 9 mattresses with head and foot boards, 1 stretcher with mattress, 3 reclining blood pressure chairs, 4 wheel chairs, 1 patient assistance bars and 20 boxes of medical supplies.

Additionally, special medical supplies include X-ray prep kits, surgical gowns, diapers, sterile bipolar disposable cords, dry seal chest drain and other valuable items.

Dr. Natalie Whylie, Senior Medical Officer, KPH, said that she is very grateful to Sanmera Foundation Limited for the much appreciated equipment and supplies that will assist the Health Care Workers during this time.
