Tutoring Just Got Better: Jennelle Jones, Plum Academy

Plum Academy is a youth empowerment organization that emerged out of the covid-19 pandemic to combat the educational struggles that arise. The Founder of Plum Academy, Miss Jennelle Jones Bsc, was an unemployed university graduate that realized the covid-19 pandemic forever changed the educational landscape and sought to alleviate some of the educational issues of the pandemic.

The introduction of virtual learning has changed the way in which students were taught to reason which induced massive strain on the atmosphere of learning, so students need physical attention and supervision. With firsthand experience of this struggle coupled with a passion for education, Plum Academy began on November 9, 2020. Plum Academy provides personalized tutoring for students struggling with online learning. Since its conception numerous students have benefited from the various educational services offered such as tutoring, consultancy, spelling competition, exam preparation, and homework and project assistance.
