Chaos and confusion at the Programme of Advancement through Health and Education (PATH) head office in Downtown Kingston is a common feature for citizens who would normally pass by on Harbour Street.

On the morning of Monday, October 26, beneficiaries flocked the facility to collect their financial assistance.

When CVM LIVE queried to find out why the large gathering, we were told by the beneficiaries that there was a delay in payments that were initially due on the 15th and 16th of October.

The Ministry of Labour and Social Security suspended the collection of payments at post offices island wide due to COVID-19.

Now, residents say they use a tracking number in a similar way to what is used to collect money from overseas. They argue that the system is inefficient.

CVM LIVE visited the PATH office again on Thursday, pregnant women, disabled people and seniors, were spotted.

One senior explained that changes were made to the payment schedule which would see her having to return in November.

CVM LIVE will continue to monitor this story.
