Scheduled to meet with Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro on Thursday, President Ali aims to address a longstanding conflict over 70% of Guyana’s land. Notably, he expresses a willingness to engage with the Maduro-led socialist party. This comes in the wake of controversial directives issued by the Maduro-led government to commence mineral exploration in the disputed Essequibo territory.President Ali asserts that foreign investors remain undeterred by the illegitimate territorial claims, emphasizing confidence in the region’s investment prospects.
