JCA President Billy Heaven Addresses Jamaica Tallawahs’ CPL Exit

In a recent statement, Billy Heaven, the President of the Jamaica Cricket Association (JCA), addressed the replacement of the Jamaica Tallawahs in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) by a franchise from Antigua and Barbuda. President Heaven acknowledged the unfortunate cessation of operations for the Tallawahs but clarified that the JCA lacked direct responsibility for the franchise’s fate. He emphasized the need to amend the current agreement between Cricket West Indies and the CPL for Jamaica to benefit in the future. Despite the CPL loss and a two-year hiatus of international cricket at Sabina Park, Heaven defended his administration’s sports management.
