Entertainers and promoters went into a peaceful protest in New Kingston on July 1, with the aim of making their voices heard on behalf of Jamaica’s entertainment industry.

On Monday, Prime Minister Andrew Holness addressed the entertainment industry explaining that the cabinet will review the measures in place on Friday.

However, they are not prepared to wait much longer; the ‘no entertainment, no vote’ team wants to see the industry re-open now.

According to the promoters, the government is turning its back on small operators in the industry despite their contribution to the economy.
