Residents in Seaview Gardens say it’s intolerable, the overflow of water with garbage from a recent downpour which blocked the entrance to their community.
Each time this happens, the people say they are left with the impossible task of removing the debris.
When the water subsided on Tuesday, one resident said he and a few others removed most of the debris from the road.
He explains that the raging water brings in uninvited guests, this includes old tires, branches, thousands of bottles, bags among others.
Another resident explains that the issue started with the construction of the nearby bypass which was created to ease traffic along the Three Miles area.
Taxi operators were forced to use an alternative route or stop working for the day.
The gully channels the water to the sea, but the rubbish has piled up preventing proper flow.
Further along, the gully bottles are clustered along the banks, there was however a noticeable absence of Styrofoam items.
Residents say although they have reached out to their political representatives, little has been done to remove the trail of garbage scattered throughout the community.
The hurricane season has begun and should a large storm happen, residents are fearful that the outcome may be devastating.
