The One PNP Camp headed by the incumbent Dr Peter Phillips released data from a Bill Johnson poll today.
The poll shows Dr. Phillips 2% behind Prime Minister Andrew Holness, while Peter Bunting trails by 9%.
The survey was conducted across 84 communities island-wide from August 2, 2019 to August 4, 2019 with a sample size of 1,008 persons, including 901 registered voters, and a margin of error of plus or minus three point five per cent.
41% of the respondents believe that Dr. Phillips has the experience to be the leader of the party compared to Bunting’s 29%.
According to the poll, 30% of Jamaicans believe the country is heading in the right direction, while 46% believe the country is heading in the wrong direction.
This comes on the heels of a Don Anderson poll commissioned by Bunting’s Rise United campaign which was released last week.
The One PNP Camp have previously dismissed that polling data as “incomprehensible and garbled.”
