In this Panel Discussion, we digest the concerns surrounding the nutritional health of the Jamaican population. An influx of high calorie low nutritional options into the food space, continues to be a cause for concern regarding health and performance outcomes for citizens, with the recent revelation by Health Minister Dr. Christopher Tufton, that Jamaicans are dying younger, in large part due to non-communicable diseases as a result of lifestyle choices. To discuss we are joined by Shereika Mills, Attorney at Law and Policy and advocacy coordinator for the Jamaica Youth Advocacy Network, JYAN, we are also joined by Vonetta Nurse, Nutrition Consultant at UNICEF.
