Approximately half a million customers of the National Water Commission (NWC) all around the island suffered a loss of access to water, having been given the short notice, that thousands of unionized NWC workers would be taking strike action on Tuesday. The workers are demanding a response from the Ministry of Finance relating to a reclassification of their services, as well as delays relating to a compensation review.
