Jamaica’s Widening Food Gap And Meassures To Prevent It

A significant number of Jamaicans lost their jobs and are experiencing greater levels of food insecurity, additionally, measures to prevent further spread of the virus have severely impacted the livelihoods of hundreds of Jamaicans.

In this Panel Discussion, we find out about Jamaica’s widening food gap and we explore measures that can be used to prevent even more Jamaicans from going hungry.

Joining our discussion, Dr. Kelly Ann Dixon Hamill, University of the West Indies Lecturer, Department of Economics. She is also the Lead Researcher on the study on the impact of COVID-19 on Jamaican households with children and Dr. Audrey Morris, Decentralized Regional Advisor, Food and Nutrition at the Pan American Health Organization.
