The clamor for the return of civics to the nation’s classrooms has finally been answered, with its re-introduction into the national standards curriculum at all levels. Set to commence in the new school term, the addition is hoped to help foster a sense of national pride and awareness in a new generation of Jamaicans, many of whom have been described as having lost a certain degree of civility.
