In the era of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, and subsequent increased importance of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), many onlookers were shocked to discover the scope and severity of lapses in cyber security protocols that were uncovered at the Passport, Immigration & Citizenship Agency (PICA). Contained in a report by the auditor general.

The report uncovered critical information, and security weaknesses which could put records and people’s identities at risk for theft. So, we ask, is Jamaica taking cyber security seriously?

To discuss cyber-security in Jamaica using the Auditor General’s Report on pica as a case study, we are joined by Trevor Forrest CEO of 876 Solutions, Consultant, Tech Entrepreneur, and open-source information & data security practitioner, and Christopher Reckord Chief Executive Officer at tTech limited.
