Crime management is of great concern for many Jamaicans, as despite the disruptions to everyday life that Jamaicans have had to endure as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, an illicit group of violent criminals appear unperturbed, with murders nearing the 1000 mark for the year.

Many Jamaican’s have begun to contrast the approach to managing the COVID-19 pandemic to the management of Jamaica’s other much older and much deadlier pandemic of crime.
