Amendments of the Road Traffic Act

With almost 500 people killed in road traffic accidents in 2021 and government projections to collect approximately $226 million in road traffic fines for the fiscal year, before a supreme court ruling impacted those projections. In this Panel Discussion, we take a closer look at the long-awaited amendments to the road traffic act and how it may impact the general sense of lawlessness on the nation’s roads, joining us in the studio is Egeton Newman President of Transport Lobby Todds and via Zoom, Victor Anderson, Programme Coordinator at the national road safety council.
