In a release, the UHWI refuted claims that have sought to question Dr. Bruce&rsquo;s professional credentials or suggest any conflict of interest related to his role at the institution.

&ldquo;Dr. Bruce is a highly respected medical professional whose qualifications, experience, and contributions to healthcare in Jamaica and the wider region are beyond question,&rdquo; the statement read.
&nbsp;
The hospital described recent suggestions aimed at undermining Dr. Bruce&rsquo;s reputation as both "inaccurate and misleading." It emphasized that Dr. Bruce is not a director or shareholder in any entity that would compromise his responsibilities at the UHWI.

Reaffirming its confidence, the UHWI stated it continues to benefit from Dr. Bruce&rsquo;s exemplary leadership and service, and stands firmly behind him during this period.
