&nbsp;St. Ann, Jamaica &ndash; Two men are dead following an alleged gun battle with police during a pre-dawn operation in Gravel Hill, Lime Hall. Law enforcement officials say they were acting on a warrant to apprehend Richardo Hemmings, otherwise known as &ldquo;Black Oil,&rdquo; who was wanted in the St. James Police Division for multiple serious offences. According to police reports, officers knocked on the front door of a two-bedroom house, after which two men reportedly exited through the back.
One of them allegedly fired at the officers and was shot in the return fire, while the other escaped. A third man inside the house reportedly engaged the officers in another shootout and was also fatally shot. Both injured men were taken to the St. Ann&rsquo;s Bay Hospital, where they were pronounced dead. A .45 Taurus pistol with a magazine containing three live rounds was recovered.

The Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM) has launched an investigation into the incident.
