A mother in Mandeville, Manchester is now appealing to the authorities to address the spike in mental illness in the parish. Another reactive cry following a horrifying ordeal.
During an interview with Cvm Live the mother says her daughter was walking in the town of Mandeville recently when she was attacked by a man believed to be of unsound mind.
She says her daughter was eventually rescued by civilians. However, the encounter began with the suspect requesting money for food which was denied.
The student was rushed to the Mandeville Hospital for treatment after suffering a strained neck and other minor injuries
The victim is also advising vigilance among commuters who often come in contact with the mentally ill in public spaces.
The incident was reported to the Mandeville police. However, efforts to contact them were unsuccessful.
