As Jamaica sees a downward trend in the number of Covid-19 hospitalization, the President of the Nurses Association of Jamaica, Patsy Edwards-Henry, is however advising the public that there’s no correlation between hospitalization numbers and Covid positivity rate.

She says the severity of the symptoms are not as bad as they were initially, therefore there wouldn’t be a need for many to be hospitalized. Edwards-Henry underscores that hospitalization of patients is mainly for persons who require respiratory support or those who have underlying conditions. She asserts that even-though persons are not being admitted doesn’t mean the pandemic is over. She is encouraging citizens to be vigilant and protect themselves from the virus. More details here:
