An explosion followed by a huge fire had engulfed the Heaven’s FESCO gas station at the intersection of Manchester and Caledonia Road in Mandeville. The fire began shortly after 5:00 pm.
Several vehicles parked on the compound were reportedly caught up in the fire. Sources at the Mandeville Hospital tell CVM live they are dealing with injuries. The cause of the fire remains unknown.
The Constabulary Communications Network is advising the public to avoid the intersection of Ward Avenue, Caledonia Road and Manchester road in the parish. Motorists are asked to use alternative routes.
