Following the shooting death of a businessman in Greenvale Manchester on Thursday, the Manchester Police have made a concerted effort to engage with the community.

Thursday’s killing has brought the murder tally in the community to 3 this year.

Superintendent of Police for the Manchester Police Shane Mccalla, says the recent crimes have prompted the police to apply more focus to the area. 

Citizen engagement and social buy-in are critical to the objective. He notes security measures will be put in place to help calm some of the anxiety currently being faced by residents.

Roydel Rowe of Power of God Ministries International recognized that the once peaceful retirement communities of the parish may be rapidly losing their appeal. More details here:
