Another man has come forward claiming that he has been falsely accused as being involved in last Friday’s killing of two officers and injuring two others in Horizon Park, St Catherine.

He is 27 years old Andre Burke, a music producer who is pleading for his image to be removed from social media and his name cleared. “Right now mi life in a mess right now. Right now, mi life in a shambles. This has to stop.

This got to stop. I don’t have any ties in the officers them tragic death. I was in my bed and wake up to a call (about the picture)- after I got that call I asked for the pic, I got it and turned myself into the Spanish Town CIB.” Burke says he reported the incident at the Spanish Town police station hoping they would have passed this information to those in higher command – but he says recent happenings indicate this may not have happened. “Yesterday, the hunts bay police run in a mi yard a search down the whole place say me involve in a police shooting when mi already go CIB.”

What worries him now is that he will meet a similar fate to Damion Hamilton who was killed in a confrontation with the police hours after the officers were murdered in Horizon Park, St Catherine. He says his business and family have been affected.

Associates are now avoiding him and his relatives feel afraid. CVMLive understands that the image circulating was reportedly taken by an officer at Twickenham park police college when burke was picked up by officers after curfew hours recently.

The matter has been reported to the independent commission of investigations and Jamaicans for justice. The Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM) says burke can make a formal report at its headquarters.
