Concerns are mounting following the fatal shooting of a wanted man by the police in St Elizabeth on Sunday afternoon. Dead is 25-year-old Tuwaine Morrison otherwise called Wasp, who was reportedly wanted for murder and several other crimes in the parish.
The police are insisting civilians ought to comply when being detained or instructed by the police. Fresh concerns in the aftermath of Sunday’s fatal shooting of a wanted man in Nain, St Elizabeth. Police responded to a call for help from residents and a series of events unfolded in which two lawmen were left injured, and the wanted man dead. Aspects of the incident were recorded and circulated on the internet. Tuwaine Morrison, during a tussle with the police even dared them to kill him otherwise he would resist arrest. The Divisional Commander has since lauded the lawmen for their quick response and ensuing efforts.
