The gifts of love continue… This time in Portland where four-term Member of Parliament for Western Portland Daryl Vaz donated millions in support of students in the constituency. He also lauded and gifted dozens of teachers who’ve given several years to the profession.

The people of Portland western are celebrating the provision of stipends to 50 top performers in the recent Primary Exit Profile (PEP) Examinations. Member of Parliament Daryl Vaz announced that the 6.5-million-dollar investment is expected to motivate students to continue in their educational pursuits. As Minister Vaz congratulates the students on their performance, he says the resumption of face-to-face classes will promote even greater educational development for students.

Aside from being consistent in their academic pursuits, Minister Vaz also acknowledged the children facing different struggles, who have persevered. The ceremony included presentations to 44 retired teachers, lauded for their service in the classroom.
