Uncertainty As Traffic Ticket Deadline Approaches

Uncertainty and long lines continue to be a feature at a number of the nation’s courts, as motorists seeking to pay their outstanding tickets voice concerns about how the process is being handled ahead of the February 1 deadline. Director of Communications at the Court Administration Division, Kadiesh Jarrett-Fletcher is urging patience.

Jarret Fletcher explained that before the matters are listed for court, the court staff must first locate the tickets, which can often be a lengthy process. The surge on the courts is expected to continue as outstanding ticket holders now have just three more workdays to clear their records.
