Frustration drove taxi operators in Trelawny to protest poor road conditions that have been damaging their vehicles. Amid the financial burden, they say they have been ignored by their political representatives. They are calling for urgent road repairs

Acting Commander of the Trelawny Police Division Deputy Superintendent Winston Milton says the police intervened to help with the flow of movement in the space, after irate operators blocked off a section of the Martha Brae thoroughfare, causing traffic pile up. Despite this, the operators say they are planning to continue protesting until plans are in place to begin the much-needed road reconstruction.
