Some residents of Treadlight Street, Clarendon are calling on their political representatives following an incomplete Canal Project that has made livelihoods difficult. Almost two years, is how long residents of Treadlight Street say they have been challenged, due to the abandonment of the project that is yet to be completed.

According to the residents, since the project commenced, they have faced limited road space, no driveway, and inadequate water supply. They are frustrated with the contractor’s incompetence and are calling on their political representatives for assistance. The residents fear the condition will only worsen as torrential rains continue.

A resident says the situation has made it difficult to sustain life as a business operator. Senior Councillor in the Central Clarendon Constituency, Joel Williams, is alleging that the head of the project, ceased operation due to an error in the drawing plan. Watch the report:
