Tourism Minister, Edmund Bartlett has identified digital transformation and changes to the geo-political landscape as having the potential to cause disruptions to the tourism industry.

He says with more and more people having access to technology, the potential for identity theft and hacking exists.

He says the tourism industry must now be aware of these issues and address them with immediacy. The Tourism Minister was speaking at a media briefing on Tuesday.

Minister Bartlett  notes that this influences which countries persons travel to and where they stay during that period.

He believes that this will also affect tourists confidence in a particular destination.
