Amidst the government’s disclosure on Tuesday that motorists are expected to fit child restraint systems in motor vehicles to avoid penalties, the Transport Operator Development Sustainable Services  (TODSS) is calling on the government to review the legislation.

The group is describing the law as impractical, adding it will impair the mobility of parents and their children over time.

With the implementation of the new road traffic act on February 1 ,2023 scores of motorists and other stakeholders are fuming over some of the legislations tabled by the government in the new act. President of the Transport Operators Development Sustainable Services, (TODSS) Egeton Newman, says the implementation of the child restraint system is impractical and will disenfranchise the nation’s children.
