Three More Cases Closed in Klansman Gang Trial

Three more cases have been closed in the Klansman Gang Trial. The defence is finalizing its presentations on behalf of its clients. This after an extended adjournment allowing the defense to put together their cases. Three more cases in the Klansman Gang trial have closed leaving just the case of Tareek James to be completed. 

The attorneys for Donovan Richards, Kalifah Williams, and Pete Miller completed their case presentations on Monday by sharing the facts that the prosecution agreed on.  These are the custody records for the defendants, which explained the time and place the men were held in custody. Donovan Richards’ custody records from September 2017 were presented. He is charged with being part of a criminal organization.

Defendant Kalifah Williams has been in police custody since April 2017 and is accused of conspiring to murder a man called “Wee Wee” in 2017 the records for Pete Miller, span approximately 12 years between 2012 and 2022. The evidence for Tareek James’ detainment, dates back to November 7 2017 when he was held at the Spanish Town lockup

Until he was remanded to Horizon in December that year, where he has been since. When court resumes on Tuesday a police witness will take the stand in the case of Takreek James.

The proceeding lasted 30 minutes and ended with a comment from the presiding Judge Chief Justice Sykes, who says he anticipates the trial to come to an end soon.
