Three Americans died in a two-vehicle collision in Ironshore, St James early Sunday morning. Among the dead are a mother, daughter, and their cousin, all of Florida addresses.

A Subaru and a Toyota Axio motorcar collided in the vicinity of the Witter Village shopping centre, at the intersection of the Ironshore main road and Morgan’s road, St James – the exact location where just months ago two hotel workers lost their lives in another collision.

Residents tell CVM LIVE; the area is swiftly becoming a crash hot spot. This time the deceased however were all American nationals who were heading to the Riu Hotel close by. They have since been identified as 59-year-old Sandra Reid and her daughter, 25-year-old Savana Lee both from Minneola, and their relative, 55-year-old Donna Brown of Winter Gardens, all Florida residents.

Police reports are that the Subaru and the Toyota were traveling in opposite directions when upon reaching the traffic light at the intersection, both vehicles collided. The three women who were passengers in the Toyota Axio motorcar were flung from the vehicle and sustained multiple injuries. They were taken to the hospital, where they were pronounced dead.

Both drivers and another passenger from the Toyota Axio have been admitted for treatment. Police say both drivers have also been warned of prosecution. Meanwhile, when CVM LIVE visited the crash site hours later, mangled metal reminded passers-by of the early morning tragedy. Signs of chaos as reflected in the litter of garments, personal items, and metal. A stark reminder to motorists to drive safely on the nation’s roads.
