TCI Premier, Washington Misick, Fires Deputy and Finance Minister, Jay Saunders

Turks and Caicos Islands: Jay Saunders’ sacking follows the Progressive National Party’s (PNP) convention on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at which there was a motion by some of the party’s delegates to put his name on the ballot to run against Washington  Misick as party leader. That motion was defeated 88 to 58, so Misick was unchallenged and remained party leader.
