St Thomas Residents Launch Search for Missing Woman

St Thomas residents launch a search for a missing woman following a visit to relatives in St Thomas recently. What was intended to be a robust search for a missing woman, Abigail Jackson conducted by the police and members of the Jamaica Fire Brigade Thursday morning, may now be a breakthrough for the police in another case as the search led to the discovery of skeletal remains, initially thought to be that of Jackson.

However, Deputy Superintendent of Police Courtney Coley says he’s confident the remains aren’t that of Jackson, as she disappeared on Sunday.

The bones discovered, clearly indicate it is from an older incident. This discovery, however, has not deterred the police from their investigations into Jackson’s disappearance. In fact, the lawmen now have three persons of interest on their radar, one of whom is a relative of Jackson.

In an earlier interview with CVM LIVE on Tuesday, Jackson’s mother Jackline Clacken said her daughter recently came to the community in Miami Lane, St. Thomas to visit this relative. After less than one month in the parish, Jackson has disappeared.

CVM LIVE understands the relative reported Jackson missing on Monday, after claiming she was left at the house at about 10 pm, but returned two hours later and found she was gone.

Sources say there’s growing suspicion around this account of the incident
