Senior Superintendent of Police for the St Ann Division, Dwight Powell says the parish saw a 21% reduction in murder last year. He says the police are bent on further reducing this number for 2022. Speaking at the St Ann Council Meeting on Friday, he lauded the police for their effort to curtail crime in 2021. He says 2018 recorded the lowest number of murders in the parish with a tally of 48 within the last five years, however, the parish has seen a slight uptick in robberies.
