St. Andrew South Police Continue to Mourn Death of Colleague

Opposition Leader, Mark Golding and a team recently visited the Hunts Bay Police Station to lend support and offer condolences to the colleagues of 36-yr old Constable Donald Carr. He died as a result of injuries sustained in an accident on the north-south highway in St. Ann, in late April.

It was revealed that the police transporting Constable Carr to the hospital was delayed for 2 minutes and 48-seconds at one of the toll booths. Speaking at a press conference last week Commissioner of Police, Major General Antony Anderson disclosed that the search and rescue operation took 1-hour and 43 minutes.

Golding says he is hopeful that out of this tragic event steps will be taken to correct the issue going forward. Watch the full report:
