As the number of fatal crashes is on the rise, the authority is hoping the soon-to-be-enacted Road Traffic Act Jamaicans could see new legislation and fewer fatalities in 2023. Vice President of the National Road Safety Council, Dr. Lucien Jones says Jamaicans will see new legislations when the new Road Traffic Act is implemented in February 2023. 

Dr Jones says smoking and drinking while driving contributes to the increased number of road fatalities in Jamaica.
