Senior Cop Defends Evidence Gathering Amid Criticisms

After the police’s apprehension of the main person of interest in the gruesome quintuple murder in Clarendon, of a mother and her four children, 23-year-old Rushane Barnett was held by police in Trelawny, late Tuesday evening. 

The massacre has generated great public interest on several fronts, not least of which is the ability of law enforcement to gather the requisite evidence.

Deputy Commissioner of Police, Fitz Bailey, has responded to criticisms, regarding evidence gathering to bring perpetrators to justice. He insists the police play a critical role in a large number of convictions in the country. Watch the report here:
