Schools were again impacted amid taxi operators striking. Our news team visited a few St. Catherine-based institutions. Collington Powel, Principal of the friendship primary school in St. Catherine tells our new team his institution was greatly impacted following the taxi operators’ strike on Monday.

Powell says many of the students are transported to school by their parents and private passenger vehicles, while others who live in close proximity walk.

Meanwhile, Roogae Kirlew Principal at Spanish Town Primary, says the impact of the strike was minimal. He says the school made the necessary adjustments for students. However, he adds the taxi operators and the government should come to some resolution.
