On the heels of Prime Minister Andrew Holness urging Jamaicans to take charge of their mental health and seek help where necessary as the new year gets underway, former Political Ombudsman and Dispute Resolution Specialist Donna Parchment Brown says through collaboration conflicts can be resolved without violence. She adds that it is important to develop other means as part of a coping mechanism to solve problems without hurting others.

This comes as domestic disputes and family feuds continue to result in violence against each other which sometimes results in death. Director of the National Transformation Programme and Founder of Whole Life Ministries, Reverend Al Miller says the government should create an environment that incorporates the church to provide assistance in conflict resolution
