President of the Private Sector Organization of Jamaica (PSOJ) Metry Seaga, says in the pursuit of good governance the government should call the local government elections as soon as possible. He says the government failed to address the election in the 2022/2023 Budget. He says while the PSOJ understands the covid 19 pandemic caused major challenges it is now time to speed up the process in facilitating the election

While several economists urge the government to work assiduously to reduce the current debt levels, the PSOJ President congratulates Finance Minister Dr Nigel Clarke’s work. Noting the debt levels are at the lowest since the last 25 years. Reflecting on the historic budget tabled on Tuesday he notes his appreciation for the government’s concerns. Watch the report:
