Josiphiah Gediliah, a teacher of the Prescilla’s Preparatory School in Green-Wood St. James took to social media voicing her frustration after her neighbours allegedly reported her to the Ministry of Education for her private tutoring practice within her home.

The teacher says the Ministry of Education and the police have been called to her home on more than one occasion in an effort to stop her from teaching the children within her class. She says she believes she is not being dished a level playing ground

Single mother of three, Josiphiah Gediliah believes she is being ostracized within the Welshire community. She tells CVM Live that neighbours came together to sign a petition in an effort to evict her from her home.

The prep school teacher says she is being targeted since she moved to the community in February of this year after she started to conduct private tutoring with a handful of children within the confines of her home.

Gediliah says her neighbours, who she believes is the main instigators behind the circulation of the petition have also been spying on her home in the mornings making her feel unsafe. She alleges her land lord was also contacted.

Gediliah says she ensures all the COVID-19 protocols are met while her students are at her home and parents spend no more than a minute with pick-ups or drop-offs.

However, the teacher says she no longer feels safe at her home though she says tutoring is her only means of income. She says at present some mediation is currently being planned between her and the neighbours.
